Is Balance free?
Yes — Balance has a generous free version with expense tracking and monthly budgeting for two, with no time limit. It's completely usable for day-to-day tracking.
If only one partner pays, does the other get Premium?
Absolutely. Premium unlock is shared across the household — if you buy Premium, your invited partner automatically gets all Premium features too.
Is there a limit on how many expenses I can add for free?
No — there's currently no limit on the number of expenses you can add in the Free version.
Where do I subscribe to Premium?
Right in the app: through the App Store on iPhone, iPad and Mac, through Google Play on Android, or by card in the web app, where payments are handled by Paddle. Once active, it works everywhere you use Balance.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone, Android, a native Mac app, and any browser via the web app — everything syncs in real time between both partners.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, at any time — you keep Premium until the end of the billing period. Cancel from your App Store or Google Play account settings, or, if you subscribed in the web app, from the link in your Paddle receipt or at paddle.net.
